Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to work on-site at our customer’s data center in Queretaro. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the entire network system from the data link layer to the application layer, ensuring high availability and data security.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Installation: Install and configure the entire network system (L1-L7) within the data center environment.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Perform daily monitoring to ensure network availability and provide stable remote access to servers for users.
- Planning & Quality Control: Engage in site layout and network construction planning; implement quality control measures to ensure data safety.
- Technical Supervision: Supervise Server Support Specialists in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, or system problems.
- Hardware Maintenance: Replace defective components and hardware as necessary to maintain system integrity.
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of L1-L7 network architecture, TCP/IP, Switching, Routing, and Optical communication technology.
- Hardware Expertise: Hands-on experience installing servers and components (boards, cards, hard drives) and various software products.
- Troubleshooting: Strong ability to analyze complex hardware/software problems and research effective resolutions.
- Diagnostic Tools: Proficient in using specialized tools, test equipment, and software utilities to diagnose data communication issues.
- Communication: Excellent interface skills with customers, manufacturers, and technical support staff.
- Preferred Assets: * Certifications: A+ and/or CCNA certifications.
- Technical Training: Applicable training from hardware/software manufacturers.
- Facilities: Knowledge of data center power and air flow systems.
Requirements
- Language: Fluent in English; Chinese (Mandarin) is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in data center operations or network maintenance.
- Authorization: Must have valid work authorization for Mexico.
