We are seeking a nearshore Full Stack Lead Engineer to build and support commerce backend services and AI-driven, agentic checkout flows with strong validation and guardrails. Responsibilities

Design backend services for commerce domain systems such as payment, loyalty, and promotions

Build REST APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot

Enable AI-driven and agentic checkout flows with validations and guardrails
-
Implement scalable and reliable service patterns to meet performance needs
-
Ensure compliance and reliability standards across services and integrations
-
Develop and maintain selected frontend components using ReactJS
-
Integrate AI-assisted workflows into backend systems using Anthropic Claude Code
-
Coordinate technical decisions and unblock delivery across nearshore collaboration
-
Operate within required US Pacific Time overlap through 4pm PST minimum
Requirements

5+ years backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot
-
Practical production experience with Anthropic Claude Code
-
5+ years experience building REST APIs and microservices
-
Lead-level experience guiding technical decisions and delivery
-
Commerce domain experience supporting payment, loyalty, promotion, or related systems

Cloud platform experience with GCP and/or Azure
-
Strong ability to overlap with US Pacific Time and cover until 4pm PST minimum

Production experience developing front-end components with ReactJS
-
Exposure to AI-assisted or agent-based workflows and backend integrations

Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools, patterns, and technologies

Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)
