The Global Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of global EHS programs across the Americas, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific (APAC). This role provides strategic leadership and technical expertise to ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen risk management, and drive a proactive safety culture throughout a global manufacturing organization.
The successful candidate will collaborate across engineering, operations, supply chain, and business leadership to integrate EHS excellence into business processes while supporting operational performance and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the global program owner and subject matter expert for key EHS programs, including:

Develop, implement, and continuously improve global EHS standards, policies, and management systems that align with regulatory requirements and business objectives.

Strengthen global processes for identifying, monitoring, and governing compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Lead the continuous improvement of the company's EHS Management System and ensure ongoing conformance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, and other business functions to integrate EHS considerations into equipment design, operational processes, capital projects, and business planning.

Develop and execute global strategies to enhance EHS capability, leadership, and employee engagement across all regions.

Lead or support EHS audits, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and regulatory compliance assessments while ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.

Monitor emerging global regulatory requirements, industry trends, and evolving risks, recommending proactive improvements to programs and standards.

Analyze global EHS performance metrics and leverage data to identify trends, prioritize risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.

At least 5 years of experience leading EHS programs across multiple manufacturing sites or regions.

Demonstrated experience implementing and continuously improving EHS management systems.

Strong working knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and applicable global EHS regulations.

Expertise in functional and machine safety, including risk assessment and safeguarding principles.

Experience managing environmental compliance programs, including air emissions, water, wastewater, and waste management.

Strong leadership, communication, project management, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or equivalent.

Experience leading EHS programs within a complex global manufacturing organization.

Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or integration of newly acquired manufacturing facilities.

Knowledge of sustainability, environmental reporting, and ESG-related initiatives
