We are looking for a talented CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER SENIOR (12 ‑ MONTH TEMPORARY) to join our team, specializing in FACILITIES for our CUMMINS FUEL SYSTEMS BUSINESS , located in CIUDAD JUÁREZ, CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO (Blvd. Juan Pablo II 1951, Cdad. Río Bravo, 32550 Juárez, Chih.).
This position is 100% on-site.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Design and construction of the cafeteria for the Juárez business unit
- Support construction project activities in Juárez
- Support internal Cummins administrative processes (purchase orders, HSE risk analysis)
- Prepare executive progress reports for leadership
- Manage design and construction of new kitchen equipment
- Oversee contractor performance on-site
- Main KPIs:
- Schedule compliance
- Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
- Cost Performance Index (CPI)
- Control of unplanned changes
- Safety incident rate
- Post-construction pending items closure
- Non‑conformities
Education/
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Engineering
Experience :
At least 5 years of previous experience in industrial construction project management
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or Construction Engineering
- More than 5 years of experience in industrial construction project management
- Proven experience managing projects from design phase through delivery and post‑construction
- Experience coordinating construction contractors, cost control, schedule tracking, and on‑site decision‑making
- Intermediate level in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Experience reviewing executive project documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate conversational English
- Experience using Revit 3D
- Experience with medium‑ and low‑voltage electrical installations
- Experience with fire protection system installations
- Experience with construction permit processes in Juárez
