Brief Job Description:
- Reporting to the Customs Manager, the key objective of this role is to oversee and ensure compliance in import and export operations, guaranteeing adherence to applicable customs regulations, accuracy of documentation, and the efficient continuity of the supply chain.

- Safety — Report accidents and near misses, 5S, ergonomics
- Compliance — Train operatives in standard work
- On-Time Delivery — Fulfill daily plan.

- Cost — Control scrap, waste, and operating supply.
- Abnormality Response — Resolve abnormalities through problem solving
- Continuous Improvement — Eliminate waste and standardize processes with Oracle.
- Administration — Lead daily meeting and update internal customer teams
- Human Resources — Develop, teach, and coach operatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise daily foreign trade operations (imports, exports, returns, virtual transfers, changes of regime, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations (IMMEX program, Annex 24, NOMs, permits, and non-tariff regulations and restrictions).
- Ensure compliance between the Annex 24 Inventory Control System and audited customs records (Glosa).
- Maintain up-to-date control of inventory and temporarily imported assets.
- Validate proper tariff classification and corresponding supporting documentation.
- Manage and follow up on processes with customs brokers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and ensure timely closure of customs pedimentos, maintaining data integrity within inventory control systems.
- Identify operational and compliance risks, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead, train, and develop the team under supervision, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Prepare performance reports, KPIs, and deviation analyses related to customs operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in customs or foreign trade operations.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and IMMEX program requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of Annex 24 inventory control systems (experience with Prisma is a plus).
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
