The Senior Engineer is responsible for leading the engineering activities for assigned customer accounts, driving new product development from concept to production through cross-functional collaboration, and serving as the primary technical interface for customers. The role includes product design, engineering changes, validation planning, prototype development, and technical reviews while ensuring design feasibility, manufacturability, quality, and cost objectives.

The Senior Engineer also ensures compliance with customer requirements, company engineering processes, and applicable industry standards by working closely with global engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
What You Will Do
- Process owner for assigned customer accounts and lead New Product Development (NPD) through the complete Product Development Cycle by coordinating Cross-Functional Teams (CFT).
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, addressing high-current/high-voltage cable assembly queries and participating in project meetings across global time zones.
- Review Voice of Customer (VOC) and application requirements (electrical, thermal, EMI/EMC, environmental, and mechanical) to assess feasibility, develop product concepts, define technical specifications, and prepare technical inputs for product costing.
- Design, develop, release, and maintain 2D/3D drawings, harness schematics, specifications, and validation documentation using Teamcenter/Work Manager.
- Initiate, manage, and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead and participate in Design Reviews, DFMEA, DVP&R, PFMEA, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA) activities to ensure robust product design.
- Develop and coordinate product validation plans covering electrical, thermal, mechanical, environmental, and durability testing in collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT).
- Support prototype development and manufacturing readiness by coordinating with the Sample Room, reviewing First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, and approving new or refurbished tooling and assembly fixtures.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to implement design standards, share best practices, and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Perform other related functions that are assigned by the management.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electronics engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in wire harness product development.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX (UG) design software.
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Management processes.
- Experience with DFMEA and GD&T.
- Hands-on experience throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFM, and PFMEA.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
