Job Description
We are looking for a Bilingual Kitchen Cabinetry & Millwork Estimator to join our preconstruction and estimating team.
This is a full-time remote position for a detail-oriented professional based in Mexico, preferably in Mérida, Yucatán, or surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is comfortable reading architectural drawings, preparing cabinet and countertop takeoffs, working with technical specifications, and communicating clearly with teams in both English and Spanish.
You will play a key role in preparing accurate, organized, and well-documented estimates for large-scale multifamily cabinetry and millwork projects across the United States.

We are a USA-based cabinetry and millwork supplier with installation services across the country, supported by factories and operations in Mexico and Asia.
Our projects are primarily large-scale multifamily developments in the United States. For each project, we must provide clear itemized quotes, coordinate production, review technical requirements, and ensure accurate delivery of cabinets, countertops, accessories, and related scopes.

Role Summary
The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing architectural plans, floorplans, technical drawings, project specifications, and related documents to determine the number and type of cabinets, countertops, and accessories required for each project.
Your main output will be clear, organized lists by unit type showing the required cabinets, countertops, materials, colors, accessories, and any relevant specifications from our catalog.
This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to identify missing or conflicting information, and proactive communication with project managers, production teams, vendors, and other internal stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesCabinetry & Countertop Takeoffs
· Review architectural floorplans, technical drawings, elevations, and project specifications.
· Identify the number, type, size, and location of cabinets required for each unit.
· Prepare cabinet and countertop takeoffs by unit type, floorplan, model, or project phase.
· Read plans in both metric and imperial units.
· Match required items to the company’s product catalog.
· Identify required materials, colors, finishes, hardware, accessories, and special conditions.
· Organize estimates in clear, itemized Excel files or estimating templates.
Estimating & Bid Support
· Prepare clear and complete estimates for cabinetry, countertops, accessories, and related millwork scopes.
· Assist in preparing bid packages, pricing breakdowns, scope summaries, exclusions, and supporting documentation.
· Review project documents to identify missing information, inconsistencies, or scope conflicts.
· Communicate questions, RFIs, or clarification needs to the appropriate team members.
· Help maintain estimating databases, product lists, pricing references, and historical project information.
· Support internal review processes before quotes or bid packages are submitted.
Technical Drawing & Software Support
· Use basic drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools to review drawings and clarify layouts.
· Assist with basic shop drawing reviews or markups when needed.
· Work with PDFs, architectural sets, cloud-based folders, and shared project documents.
· Experience with cabinetry software is desirable but not required.
Communication & Project Coordination
· Communicate clearly with US-based team members, suppliers, factories, and internal project stakeholders.
· Participate in occasional video calls, project meetings, or review sessions.
· Provide status updates and flag potential issues before they become delays.
· Keep files, estimates, drawings, and project information organized.
· Manage your own schedule and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
· Fluent English and Spanish at a technical and professional level.
· Medium to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
· Ability to read architectural floorplans and technical drawings.
· Ability to work with both metric and imperial measurements.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
· Basic knowledge of drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar.
· Reliable internet connection and a professional remote work setup.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in cabinetry, millwork, construction, architecture, interior design, or estimating.
· Experience with multifamily construction projects in the United States.
· Experience preparing quantity takeoffs, bid packages, or itemized estimates.
· Knowledge of cabinetry catalogs, cabinet layouts, countertops, accessories, materials, and finishes.
· Experience using software such as Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar.
· Experience with cabinetry-specific software is a plus, but not required.
· Prior experience working remotely with a US-based company is a plus.
· Valid US visa is a plus, but not required.

Location
This position is open to candidates based in Mexico.
High preference will be given to candidates located in Mérida, Yucatán, or surrounding areas.
