We are seeking a high-impact ML Engineer / Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, build and scale the Zero Base Rate (ZBR) platform—an AI-driven solution that estimates freight costs using telematics, ML and cost modeling. As a hands-on builder across backend, ML and front-end layers, you will accelerate productization and global rollout while supporting MLOps standards and pipeline implementation.
Responsibilities
-
Development and scaling of the ZBR application across front-end, backend and ML integration in the USA and Europe
-
Creation and localization of robust cost modeling engines including fixed/variable costs, route simulation and fuel estimation
-
Design of APIs and services for lane-level cost estimation and pricing recommendations
-
Delivery of production-grade performance across scalability, reliability and security
-
Integration of ML models for route cost estimation, fuel consumption modeling and cost-per-ton / lane optimization
-
Collaboration with telematics and operational datasets such as fuel, distance and routes
-
Support for continuous model improvement and deployment pipelines
-
Enhancement of front-end applications with Angular or React and backend services with Python and APIs
-
Translation of business workflows into intuitive user interfaces for quotation and lane management
-
Deployment and management of solutions in Azure-based environments
-
Contribution to architecture decisions across data pipelines, app services and security
Requirements
-
Strong software engineering fundamentals with production-grade systems
-
Proficiency in Python backend development including APIs and services
-
Skills in front-end development with Angular or React
-
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure
-
Understanding of ML integration in an applied rather than pure research context
-
Excellent English communication, written and verbal, and a US VISA
-
High learning agility with fast ramp-up on new domains and technologies
-
Strong ownership and execution mindset with a hands-on, builder mentality
-
Capability to work with vibe coding and rapid prototyping through to production hardening
-
Proven ability to build end-to-end AI applications across frontend, backend and ML
-
Competency in owning backend and ML integration layers and delivering production-ready features
