As a Senior Test Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality while enabling innovation that powers commerce around the world.
What you’ll own
- Drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle by building automated testing strategies that identify issues early and accelerate delivery with confidence.
- Lead the development of scalable automation frameworks, test suites and engineering tools that improve efficiency, maintainability and long term product quality.
- Create reliable continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines that enable faster releases while maintaining high quality standards.
- Influence engineering excellence by identifying code quality improvements, reducing technical risk and promoting test driven development and behavior driven development practices.
- Drive application performance, load and security testing initiatives that strengthen reliability, scalability and client confidence.
- Build innovative testing solutions for application programming interfaces (APIs), Representational State Transfer (REST) services and non user interface components to expand automated test coverage.
- Shape quality engineering best practices by partnering with developers, business teams and stakeholders to create effective testing strategies and measurable outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted technical leader for testing activities, driving issue resolution, mitigating risks and ensuring successful delivery across complex initiatives.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience in software testing, software development and quality engineering within complex technology environments.
- Strong expertise in automation frameworks, continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
- Experience working with modern software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Perl, Groovy, Structured Query Language (SQL) or similar technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex systems and drive effective quality solutions.
- Proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams while influencing quality outcomes and engineering best practices.
It’s a bonus if you have
- Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical discipline.
- Extensive experience developing automated testing strategies across diverse platforms, environments and frameworks.
- Expertise with performance testing, security testing, service virtualization and payments industry compliance requirements.
