Position Overview
The Driver Recruiter supports our recruiting team by sourcing, screening, and coordinating qualified CDL drivers and logistics professionals for open positions nationwide.
This role is responsible for maintaining an active recruiting pipeline, conducting candidate outreach, documenting applicant activity, and ensuring qualified candidates move efficiently through the hiring process. You'll work closely with a Senior Recruiter to prioritize hiring needs and deliver an outstanding candidate experience.
What You'll DoCandidate Sourcing & Recruiting
- Review incoming applications from Indeed and other recruiting platforms
- Source qualified CDL drivers through outbound recruiting efforts
- Conduct phone interviews and initial candidate screenings
- Evaluate applicants against client hiring requirements
- Maintain ongoing communication with candidates through phone, text, and email
- Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified drivers
Candidate Management
- Maintain accurate candidate records within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Update recruiting activities, notes, and application statuses daily
- Schedule interviews, orientations, and additional screening steps as needed
- Track recruiting metrics and candidate progress
- Escalate recruiting challenges or difficult-to-fill positions to the Senior Recruiter
Documentation & Hiring Support
- Collect required pre-screening information
- Ensure candidate documentation is complete and accurate
- Coordinate handoff of qualified candidates to the Compliance team for onboarding and DQ File completion
- Communicate candidate readiness to internal stakeholders
Team Collaboration
- Participate in daily recruiting meetings and team huddles
- Work closely with Senior Recruiters to prioritize open positions
- Deliver a professional, responsive, and positive experience for every candidate
- Support team recruiting goals and client hiring initiatives
QualificationsRequired
- Excellent communication skills over the phone, text, and email
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple recruiting activities simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up habits
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn recruiting software
Preferred
- 1+ year of recruiting, staffing, dispatch, customer service, or sales experience
- Experience recruiting CDL drivers or transportation professionals
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as:
- Avionté
- Tenstreet
- Bullhorn
- DriverReach
- Similar recruiting platforms
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Experience
- Recruiting: 1 year (Preferred)
- Transportation or CDL Recruiting: Preferred
- Customer Service, Sales, or Dispatch Experience: Considered
