Quality Manager
Location: Mexicali, B.C.
Experience in Power electrical connectors & Wire Harnesses processes.
AB Recruitment is searching a Quality Manager for a Manufacturing company located in Mexicali. The incumbent is responsible for site activities related to customer quality, manufacturing quality and supplier quality driving continuous improvement activities. Administer Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance, responsible for internal and external audits and compliance. Drive corrective and preventive actions, monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the actions. Administer KPI’s to improve customer satisfaction. Compliance of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes annual quality objectives, KPI’s and related training.
- Understands customer requirements, Compliance with quality policies and system, define quality criteria.
- Follows up on raw materials specification, prepare deviation reports.
- Performs internal audits within the quality system.
- Responsible for equipment calibration.
- Monitors and analyzes internal containment activities, taking action on areas of opportunity identified.
- Corrective/preventive actions, and reviews the effectiveness of actions through implementation.
- Leads customer complaints and supplier issues, including 8Ds.
- Evaluate and dispositioning customer returns, follow up on internal corrective actions generated from return analysis.
- Communicate information on quality results, both internal and external.
- Administer and participates in company’s internal quality audits.
- Verifies compliance with the company’s safety and hygiene policies.
- Supports other activities inherent to the position and special projects
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· B.S. Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electronic or other related science. / MBA a Plus
· Bilingual: Fluent English Level 90 - 100%
· 5+ years of experience in quality engineering – manufacturing environment.
· Experience dealing with direct customers, use of customer platforms.
· Standards, Requirements and Applicable Norms; IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 Requirements.
· Experience in the Analysis and troubleshooting (8D, 5W, PDCA, Ishikawa)
· Management of Customer Score Cards, Knowledge of the Warranty process with OEMs.
· Excellent Organizational and Planning skills, problem-solving, collaboration and project management skills.
