VOLCANIX AUTOMATION is seeking experienced Robot Programmers to support automation installations and production launches across North America. This role involves programming, integration, and commissioning of robotic automation systems.
Location: Canada / North America
Travel: 90–100%
Responsibilities
· Program and commission industrial robots
· Integrate robots with PLC-controlled automation systems
· Perform system debugging and optimization
· Support equipment installation and startup
· Troubleshoot robotic systems and automation cells
· Work with controls engineers and mechanical teams during integration
· Required Robot Experience, experience with one or more of the following:
o Fanuc
or ABB
or KUKA
or Kawasaki
o Motoman (Yaskawa)
· Preferred Industry Experience:
o Automotive manufacturing
o Food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics manufacturing
or GM, Ford, Tesla or Tier 1 suppliers
o High-speed automation lines
o Material handling and assembly automation
o Welding or vision systems
Requirements
· Willingness to travel 90–100%
· Strong troubleshooting and commissioning experience
· Ability to work independently on customer sites
· Excellent communication and documentation skills
· Work Authorization
