Position Summary
CoreX is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Legal Associate to join our global legal team. This role is designed for a lawyer with 3–5 years of experience who is comfortable operating in a multinational environment and handling cross-border legal matters. You will work closely with senior attorneys and business stakeholders across multiple regions, supporting corporate and commercial legal needs at an international scale.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with curiosity, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, and is energized by working in a fast-paced technology environment.
What you get to do in this role:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of corporate and commercial contracts, including NDAs, master service contracts, statements of work and vendor agreements.
- Support global compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations across jurisdictions.
- Provide legal support on corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, shareholder meetings, and entity maintenance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Conduct legal research on Mexican, U.S., and international commercial and corporate law to support global business decisions.
- Assist in due diligence processes for mergers and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with legal teams, external counsel, and business units across different countries and time zones.
- Maintain and organize legal files, contracts databases, and corporate records.
- Identify and help mitigate legal risks across international business units.
Required experience and qualifications:
- Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) from an accredited Mexican university, mandatory.
- 3–5 years of professional legal experience in corporate or business law.
- Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken, including drafting and negotiating contracts in English.
- Solid understanding of Mexican corporate law and commercial regulations.
- Exposure to U.S. law or experience working with U.S.-based legal teams or clients is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of corporate governance, entity management, and international compliance frameworks.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience at a law firm, in-house legal department, or multinational company strongly preferred.
- Strong legal writing and drafting skills in both Spanish and English.
- Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency and expand team capacity.
