Job Description:
Schneider Electric has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer in our PLANT 4 APODACA location.
The Electrical Engineer is a project engineer responsible for the customization of low voltage electrical equipment using standard designs. This role combines electrical design with the use of digital tools, software-based configuration, and basic programming/automation to deliver solutions aligned with customer needs.

Engineering design of Low Voltage Drawout Switchgears

Customize control & power distribution drawings based on customer specifications

Create BOMs for building equipment
-
Use digital engineering tools and software to support design, configuration and documentation
-
Develop and support basic programming, configuration or scripting tasks related to automation, control systems or digital tools (e.g., PLC logic, parameter configuration, or simple scripts)

Support integration of control, automation or digital features into electrical solutions
-
Participate in continuous improvement and productivity projects, including digitalization initiatives
-
Internal and external customer service
-
Liaise with customers to define system requirements, including electrical and control aspects
-
Provide commissioning assistance

Provide technical and sales support
-
Interface with Technical Support and Field Service Engineers

University degree in Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronic, Automation Engineering or related
-
2 to 5 years of experience in engineering roles (electrical design, automation, or digital/technical projects)

Basic knowledge of electrical design and low voltage equipment
-
Experience or exposure to programming, automation or digital tools (e.g., PLCs, Python, MATLAB, or similar)

Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD)

Interest in combining electrical design with software, automation and digital solutions
-
Strong problem-solving and learning mindset, especially in digital environments
-
Good communication skills and customer focus

Fluent English

Strong sense of urgency
