We are seeking a Senior Python Application Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native data processing applications. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Python, AWS serverless technologies, data engineering, infrastructure as code, and API integrations. This role requires a proactive engineer who can build reliable, high-performance solutions in a modern cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable applications and data processing pipelines using Python.
- Build and optimize ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation.
- Develop serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and AWS Step Functions.
- Manage structured data extraction, storage, and analytics using Snowflake.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external REST APIs.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in Python application development.
- Strong expertise in Python.
- Experience with PyArrow for efficient ETL and data warehouse processing.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake for structured data extraction and storage.
- Strong knowledge of AWS Lambda and AWS Step Functions for serverless data processing.
- Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Experience with DynamoDB for pipeline metrics and execution state management.
- Strong knowledge of observability tools, including Amazon CloudWatch, Datadog, and AWS X-Ray.
- Experience integrating with REST APIs, including Salesforce, Anduin IDM, and custom endpoints.
- Advanced English (written and spoken).
