We are currently seeking an experiencedSenior Buyer Oil & Gas (Upstream & Offshore Operations)to join a leading international energy company supporting upstream and offshore operations in Mexico.
This position is ideal for procurement professionals with solid experience managing purchasing activities within theOil & Gas sector, supporting drilling, production, maintenance, construction, and operational requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Execute end-to-end procurement processes for goods and services supporting offshore and onshore operations.

Manage RFQs, bid evaluations, commercial negotiations, and supplier selection.

Issue and administer Purchase Orders (POs) in compliance with company procurement policies.

Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, HSE, Logistics, Maintenance, and Project teams to ensure material availability.

Develop and maintain strategic relationships with local and international suppliers.

Support sourcing initiatives focused on cost optimization, supplier performance, and supply continuity.

Monitor supplier delivery schedules and resolve procurement-related issues.
-
Ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, and regulatory requirements.

Participate in supplier qualification, vendor performance reviews, and procurement audits.

Support procurement activities for CAPEX and OPEX expenditures.

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.

Minimum5 years of procurement experience within the Oil & Gas industry.

Proven experience supporting upstream, offshore, drilling, production, maintenance, construction, or energy projects.

Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract administration, and procurement best practices.

Experience managing procurement activities for MRO materials, equipment, services, and project-related purchases.

Advanced English proficiency (business conversational level required).

Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, IFS, or similar procurement platforms.

Offshore operations and marine logistics procurement.
-
EPC/EPCM project procurement.

Supplier development and strategic sourcing initiatives.
-
International sourcing and contract negotiations.
-
Knowledge of Mexican energy industry regulations and procurement compliance requirements.
