We are looking for a talented Advanced Warehouse Operator - Level II to join our team, specializing in inventory and parts management, for Cummins in Mazapil, ZAC, México.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
INVENTORY:
- Responsible for conducting inventory counts of Cummins’ copper stock in Buenavista, tracking the receipt and shipment of spare parts and filters, placing orders for spare parts and filters, coordinating the import and export of spare parts, and updating the inventory system (NetSuite) daily. You are also responsible for handling all procedures involved in billing Grupo México’s customers for spare parts.
- You are responsible for coordinating all matters related to registering spare parts with Grupo México’s customers.
SPARE PARTS TRANSPORTATION:
- Responsible for the freight costs associated with the shipment of spare parts, which may originate at the border ports of Nogales or Naco, Sonora, and be destined for Grupo México projects located in the city of Cananea, Sonora, as well as for freight costs resulting from the return of spare parts from the two aforementioned projects to the designated border ports.
SERVICES:
- Responsible for tracking the request and delivery of parts, as required.
- Responsible for maintaining the company’s owned and leased fixed assets in good condition and reporting any issues with them.
- Responsible for attending meetings with the client.
SAFETY:
- Responsible for tracking the delivery of PPE items, as well as inspecting service vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order. Also responsible for maintaining documentation related to ecology, the environment, and safety.
- Comply with requests from the Safety Leader: JSO/JSA forms.
ACTIVITIES:
- Consignment meeting (daily; comply with safety department requirements regarding each consignment contract; currently receiving support from the Safety Department).
- Delivery of spare parts and filters.
- Ordering and tracking spare parts and filters.
- Manage purchase orders (daily).
- Report on in-person spare parts sales and collections (per event).
- Parts registration (per event).
- Price updates (per event).
Occasional Tasks:
- Direct Sales / Orders (per event).
- Imports—coordination only (per event; Direct Supervisor / Finance / Spare Parts as directly involved parties)
- Tracking of shortages (weekly).
Controls:
- Weekly inventory and location tracking (weekly).
- Monitoring of maximum and minimum levels (weekly). As well as other warehouse-specific controls.
- Monthly CMS sales report (monthly):
I. Direct sales.
II. By supplier.
III. By service/MO (services and backlogs).
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of high school education, or equivalent experience to the extent that such experience complies with applicable regulations.
Certification is required to operate industrial motorized vehicles (retractable forklifts, order pickers, electric pallet jacks, etc.) and/or other heavy machinery.
This position may require a license to comply with export control or sanctions regulations.
