We are looking for a Senior TypeScript+Node.js Developer to join a fast-growing internal developer platform team, working on Backstage.io to build a unified portal that streamlines how teams build, manage, and monitor software. The platform centers around a software catalog that provides a single entry point across the full development lifecycle — from discovering services and tools to managing projects and teams.
Responsibilities

Own frontend architecture decisions, including component structure, state management, TypeScript standards, and performance

Apply spec-driven development practices, ensuring every feature starts from a spec and every implementation is traceable to it

Act as a technical lead by reviewing code, setting frontend standards, and mentoring other engineers

Integrate ELK entities into the Backstage catalog

Integrate extensions and templates into Backstage and build render scripts

Build a capability to run Terraform scripts

Integrate JIRA Service Desk capabilities into Backstage

Integrate Jenkins/CICD capabilities into Backstage

Collaborate independently across distributed, cross-functional teams
Requirements

3+ years of experience in Node.js backend development

Expertise in TypeScript

Experience with cloud platforms, application hosting, and deployment

Capability to work independently across distributed, cross-functional teams

Proficiency in AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, including working with Agents, Skills, MCP, and team productivity AI workflows

Proficiency in English at a B2+ level
Nice to have

Familiarity with GitHub Copilot AI-assisted development, including agents, skills, and MCP

Experience with spec-driven development frameworks like SpecKit or BMAD

Background in developer portals, platform engineering, or internal tooling

Knowledge of ELK Stack
