You will lead classes RR100 and RR200 that blend traditional and innovative prepping cooking techniques, fostering a lively learning environment that celebrates skill development. Responsibilities
Teaching & Instruction
- Develop and deliver engaging course content in Residential, DE, and Hybrid formats.
- Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments in alignment with curriculum standards.
- Use learning management systems (LMS) and relevant educational technologies to facilitate instruction and communication.
- Incorporate diverse instructional strategies to accommodate varying learning styles and modalities.
- Maintain regular interaction with students and provide timely, constructive feedback
Production and Operations (Kala Production)
- Supervise high-volume production and standardized processes.
- Execute and support chain production processes for multiple units or restaurants.
- Manage internal inventory, purchasing, ordering, and product receiving.
- Apply strict FIFO controls, waste management, and product rotation.
- Perform culinary math, recipe conversions, and recipe costing, including yield and waste control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
- Apply best standardization practices in food production in the field.
Experience
- 3+ years of proven experience in professional culinary arts with a strong background in restaurant production or food service management.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and behavior management strategies for diverse learner groups.
- Prior teaching or classroom experience, preferred.
