The Quality Supervisor leads and oversees Quality Control and Quality Engineering activities within the quality laboratory. Acts as the voice of operations during New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring that product designs are robust and aligned with quality requirements from early design phases through production.
Drives continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, cost reduction, and automation (e.g., robotic lines). Ensures compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable quality systems (ISO 9001).
The Quality supervisor is responsible for ensuring that products meet company quality and performance standards. This role leads the quality team to respond effectively to internal and external customer needs, promoting a culture of accountability, integrity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Lead daily activities of the Quality Control and Quality Engineering team.
- Develop and implement inspection methods, control plans, and quality standards.
- Define sampling procedures and reporting systems for quality data.
- Oversee First Article Inspections (FAI), including robotic and liquid handling systems.
- Manage non-conforming materials and engineering runs (SRFs).
- Participate in equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
- Analyze quality data using statistical tools (Minitab, Gage R&R, DOE, capability studies).
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in internal audits and ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
- Lead and develop Quality team members.
- Provide quality engineering support during product development.
- Act as liaison between R&D and Operations.
- Participate in development meetings and define quality plans.
- Conduct risk analysis using DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans.
- Develop and improve test methods.
- Identify and close process gaps.
- Support initiatives for cost, quality and delivery performance.
