We are looking for an experienced Lead JavaScript Software Engineer who is driven to create rich, responsive web and hybrid-mobile applications. In this role, you will apply your deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js to build fast, SEO-friendly, and mobile-first interfaces, while providing technical direction and mentorship to the engineering team.
Your primary focus will be delivering web experiences that feel native on mobile, while ensuring strong performance across desktop and mobile browsers, including iOS Safari. Partnering closely with backend engineers, UX designers, and product owners, you will turn interactive designs into clean, modular, and reusable front-end code.
Responsibilities

Architect and develop high-performance, responsive web applications using React and Next.js (leveraging SSR, SSG, and API routes)

Translate mobile-first designs into pixel-perfect interfaces, with particular attention to layouts, animations, and touch interactions across iOS/Android browsers

Oversee client-side state management and ensure smooth integration with RESTful or GraphQL backend services

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to improve loading speed, Core Web Vitals, and rendering efficiency on mobile devices

Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested JavaScript/TypeScript code

Lead code review processes and help evolve the shared UI component library

Drive key technical decisions and guide team members through best practices and architectural choices

Partner with cross-functional teams to convert design concepts into functional, production-ready code
Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in modern web development, with an emphasis on user-facing feature development

Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React

Solid experience working with Next.js (App Router or Pages Router, Server Components)

Familiarity with modern styling approaches, including Tailwind CSS, styled-components, and CSS Modules

Background in optimizing web applications for mobile browsers, PWAs, or hybrid mobile web-view environments

Hands-on experience with Git and Agile/Scrum workflows

Demonstrated ability to manage client-side state using tools such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API
