ABB Robot Programming Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ABB Robot Programming Engineer with a strong background in the automotive sector (BIW - Body in White). In this onsite role based in Monterrey, you will drive the development, optimization, and commissioning of robotic automation systems, focusing heavily on ABB controllers and RAPID programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and maintain complex robot programs using the ABB RAPID programming language.
- Program and commission robotic cells for core automotive manufacturing applications, including spot welding, arc welding, material handling, adhesive application, sealing operations, and assembly automation.
- Perform rigorous robot path optimization to reduce cycle times and maximize overall line throughput.
- Integrate robotic systems seamlessly with PLCs and facility automation architecture.
- Establish and implement standardized programming methodologies across manufacturing facilities.
- Perform offline programming (OLP) and robotic simulation using Siemens Process Simulate and ABB RobotStudio.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial robotics and automation within the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Core Profile: Expert-level proficiency in ABB Robotics, robot programming, and automation commissioning.
- Core Skills & Software:
- Advanced knowledge of ABB RobotStudio and RAPID.
- Strong expertise in BIW process simulation using Siemens Process Simulate (Offline Programming).
- Proven experience with PLC integration and field commissioning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-vendor controllers (KUKA, FANUC, Kawasaki) within a Process Simulate environment.
- Background in tooling and fixture development for automated cells.

Pay: $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 per month
