Your Job
As an AQP Engineer (Quality), you will lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for automotive programs, ensuring product and process readiness from development through launch and into serial production. You will play a critical role in driving quality planning, risk mitigation, and customer satisfaction by aligning cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with industry and customer requirements.
Our Team
You will join the TIS Quality team, working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and customer-facing teams to deliver successful product launches and sustained process performance. This team is focused on driving quality excellence and continuous improvement across automotive programs.
What You Will Do
- Lead APQP execution for new product launches, engineering changes, and product transfers to ensure readiness and on-time delivery.
- Drive development and implementation of quality deliverables such as process flows, PFMEA, and control plans in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure successful customer submissions by coordinating accurate and complete PPAP documentation.
- Identify and mitigate launch and process risks to improve quality performance, reduce defects, and enhance process capability.
- Support resolution of customer and internal quality issues using structured problem-solving methods.
- Enable smooth transition from development to production by supporting validation activities, trial runs, and production readiness reviews.
- Act as a key quality interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to align expectations and drive results.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience working in automotive manufacturing, quality, or APQP/PPAP-related roles.
- Knowledge of automotive quality systems such as IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
- Experience applying AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA).
- Experience supporting new product launches and process validation in a manufacturing environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience supporting OEM or Tier 1 automotive customers.
- Certifications or training in APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, or related automotive quality methodologies.
- Experience with electromechanical or electronic product launches.
- Experience with customer portals, layered process audits, or safe launch activities.
