Quality Management System Coordinator
Automotive company located in Sauz, Pedro Escobedo, Querétaro is looking for a QMS Coordinator to join our team.
We are looking for a strong quality professional with solid technical expertise in quality management systems, internal audits, and compliance standards, but also with excellent communication skills, leadership presence, and confidence to interact with customers, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
Position Purpose
The main responsibility of this position is to execute activities related to Internal Audits and Document Control, while ensuring compliance with customer-specific requirements, regulatory standards, and Quality Management System procedures within the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and execute internal system audits to assess compliance with standards such as ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA, and Customer-Specific Requirements.
- Support planning and preparation activities for external certification audits including ISO9001, IATF16949, and ISO14001.
- Execute the internal audit program according to site requirements and ensure adherence to audit plans.
- Communicate audit findings effectively through clear, concise, and professional audit reports.
- Train employees on IATF16949 requirements and promote integration into company policies and operational processes.
- Validate manufacturing documentation through document control audits.
- Support process owners and employees in the creation and revision of BMS documentation to ensure compliance with IATF and customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systems and process compliance.
- Follow up corrective and preventive actions to ensure proper implementation and closure of audit findings.
- Promote a quality culture across the organization through leadership, communication, and process discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Management Systems.
- At least 1 year of experience conducting internal or external audits.
- IATF 16949 Lead Auditor certification/training.
- VDA 6.3 Process Auditor training.
- ISO19011 and ISO9001 training.
- Core Tools training (PPAP, FMEA, APQP, MSA, SPC).
- Strong knowledge of:
- IATF16949 and VDA standards
- Customer-Specific Requirements
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
- Process approach and risk-based thinking
- Advanced English is mandatory (interview will be conducted in English).
