Coordinate international shipments (FTL, LTL, FCL, LCL, and multimodal transportation) across the region in accordance with negotiated Incoterms
Ensure the timely execution of import and export customs clearance processes
Monitor on-time deliveries and proactively communicate shipment status to internal and external customers, while resolving any issues before, during, or after transit (delays, storage charges, damages, shortages, etc.)
Verify that all shipment documentation is accurate and complete
Manage relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs)
Prepare KPI reports to evaluate internal and supplier performance and propose corrective and preventive actions
Develop SOPs for the logistics area and implement process improvements, including route analysis and material consolidation to reduce lead times and costs
Coordinate insurance claims when applicable
Collaborate with Planning, Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse, International Trade, and Finance teams to ensure proper alignment and execution of logistics processes
Review and approve supplier invoices based on agreed rate schedules and monitor payment status
Process payments to shipping lines and logistics operators related to shipments from the U.S. business unit
Generate ground and air waybills for courier and parcel shipments
Request quotations for urgent transportation services and LCL shipments
Stay up to date with changes in transportation regulations and compliance requirements
