The EHS Regional Manager is ultimately accountable for establishing, governing, and continuously advancing a robust, compliant, and performance-driven Environment, Health, and Safety framework across the region. This role provides strategic leadership and oversight to ensure all sites operate in full alignment with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental commitments, while embedding a proactive safety culture and risk-based mindset. In this region, is essential to have a consistent control of IMMS data and costs, together with HR and Medical Regional support. The position holds end-to-end accountability for regional EHS performance, audit readiness, regulatory compliance, capability development, and the achievement of zero-harm and environmental stewardship objectives, ensuring EHS is fully integrated into operational excellence and business strategy.
YOUR ROLE
Lead the EHS management systems, considering Corporate EHS Standards, international standards (ISO), EHS Policy, legal requirements, customer requirements, and other standards the organization subscribes to.
Stimulate EHS coordinators to promote system enhancement and continuous improvement.
Participate in the definition of awareness communication, internal and external, about the policy, objectives, and action plans.
Support plants for Corporate audits preparation.
Track the Corporate findings (MAPs) with all audited sites, supporting expedited closure time.
Support LWDC, Serious Incidents and Serious Near Misses investigations and preparation of safety bulletins and 5 whys in the region.
Responsible for the timely response of monthly environmental metrics and monthly safety metrics across all sites.
Prepare EHS Corporate audits at the plants involved in the Internal Audit Services schedule.
Support ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 certification processes.
Responsible for the capability build of new EHS resources in the regions. Interview the EHS Coordinators to contribute to a qualified recruitment.
Maintain Operations Directors, EHS Coordinators, and Plant Managers Staffing list updated.
Lead the deployment of Behaviour Based Safety training among the Staff Teams.
Focus on and evolve Leading Indicators (ex, training).
Follow up with the sites on the Safety Pillars (Safety Plan, PSRB, SOT, Incident Investigation, SOP).
Drive the regional EHS agenda for the company.
Lead and look across sustainability improvement opportunities within the region.
Work closely with the Medical Department for IMSS data control and case validation.
YOUR BACKGROUND
EHS degree/Master
5/8 years’ experience + managing min 3 plants
Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
