HIL Test Automation (Python)
P3 provides top-quality engineering, consulting, and digital services across various industries, including automotive, aerospace, energy, telecommunications, finance, and the public sector.
We are looking for a HIL Test Automation (Python) for a project based in Puebla, Mexico, and Detroit, USA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in HiL testing and test automation, HiL testing platforms dSPACE (automation Desk), NI VeriStand/TestStand, Vector CANoe.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 andASPICE.
- Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive
- Ethernet).
- Experience in Python (APIS)
- CANOE / CAPL
- Experience with test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
- Understanding of embedded systems development lifecycle (V-Model, Agile).
- English proficiency: C1
- SQL or time-series databases for test results management (desirable).
- Experience i ISTQB Foundation or equivalent certification (desirable).
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans and test cases in HiL environments (dSPACE, NI, Vector).
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, MATLAB/Simulink, CAPL, or C#.
- Validate ECU functionalities through CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Automotive Ethernet
- communication.
- Perform diagnostic testing (UDS, OBD-II, XCP) and fault injection scenarios.
- Analyze logs and measurement data with tools such as ControlDesk, CANoe, MATLAB, Python (pandas/numpy), NI DIAdem.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, report, and track defects.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Contribute to compliance with ISO 26262 (functional safety) and ASPICE standards.
- Maintain documentation for test cases, results, and quality metrics.
