Role Summary The Quality Assistant Manager (Superintendent level) is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance operations within the plant. This role ensures that all products meet the rigorous standards of the automotive industry while leading a team of quality professionals to achieve operational excellence.
Work Schedule and Location First Shift (Primer Turno) Plant located in Antonio J. Bermudez, Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the Quality Assurance department, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and customer requirements.
- Lead and develop a team of quality engineers and technicians, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage and maintain the IATF 16949 Quality Management System, ensuring readiness for all internal and external audits.
- Lead Core Tools implementation and monitoring, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
- Supervise calibration processes and laboratory equipment management to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Execute MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis) and R&R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies.
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for automotive customers regarding quality concerns and root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electronic, or related field).
- Language: Advanced English proficiency is mandatory (Business and Technical).
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Leadership: Proven experience managing and leading teams (Personnel management).
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of IATF 16949 standards, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
- Process Knowledge: Strong experience in calibration processes, quality assurance, and auditing.
- Soft Skills: High level of communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
