The position combines execution support with documentation, research, and standards development activities within Product Certification Engineering. The role reports directly to Custom Solutions Engineering in Tijuana with functional alignment and technical guidance from Product Certification Engineering in San Diego.
We are seeking an Engineer to support product compliance and certification activities for global Oil & Gas and Power Generation applications. This role supports Project Design Engineering and Package Systems Operations during project execution by verifying compliance with applicable regulations, directives, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Support verification of product compliance with applicable regulations, directives, codes, and standards.
- Perform certification activities, including review of drawings, technical documentation, inspection records, and test reports.
- Support preparation, review, and maintenance of certification documentation and standardized work processes.
- Conduct research on applicable regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g., UL/CSA, NEC/NFPA, CE Marking, ATEX/PED, IEC/ISO).
- Support Project Design Engineering during sales order execution by applying established certification requirements and guidance.
- Interface with certification agencies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders under guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in inspection and verification activities at the San Diego facility as required.
- Demonstrate sound engineering judgment, attention to detail, and ability to meet project schedules.
- Work under functional guidance of Product Certification Engineering to ensure consistent application of certification requirements and processes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- 3–5 years relevant engineering experience.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, machinery installations, and industrial applications.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Product Certification, regulatory compliance, inspection, or audit activities
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or field activities
- Mechanical, hydromechanical, or electrical package experience
- Quality or inspection support experience
- Internal Field Representative or commissioning support experience
- Experience working in cross‑functional or multi‑site engineering environments
Additional Information
This role is based in Tijuana, Mexico, with regular collaboration and periodic on-site work at the San Diego facility aligned with onboarding, collaboration, and certification execution needs. New team members receive structured onboarding and technical guidance from Product Certification Engineering in San Diego, which provides functional oversight and ensures consistent application of certification requirements and processes.
