Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing key components of the company’s financial operations, including month end close, general ledger accuracy, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP. This role supports leadership through accurate analysis, process improvement, and cross functional collaboration while ensuring timely and reliable financial information.
Key Responsibilities

Lead month end and year end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Analyze the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.

Perform variance analysis on budget vs. actual results and provide insight into financial trends.

Support the controller with year end audit procedures and testing

Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and asset tracking.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes through data gathering and analytical review.

Coordinate and prepare audit support schedules for internal and external auditors.

Monitor and enhance internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.

Assist in process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations.

Collaborate with AP, AR, payroll, and operations teams to resolve accounting issues.

Support ERP system maintenance, upgrades, and process automation initiatives.
Key Competencies

Experience in Healthcare.

Familiarity with process automation or financial systems projects.

Knowledge of financial controls frameworks (internal audit environments).

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

CPA preferred (or CPA eligible).

3–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).

Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross functionally.
