Supply Planner is responsible for communicating with Suppliers and collaborating with Demand Planners. This involves placing orders with 3rd party suppliers, updating and managing delivery expectations, managing time-sensitive orders, monitoring overseas shipments and reporting. To complete this, the candidate will need to have strong organization and analytical skills for reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Place all 3rd party purchase orders.
- Update delivery dates from 3rd party Suppliers.
- Maintain accurate delivery dates from all 3rd party and Overseas factories.
- Manage inbound special orders from overseas.
- Manage communication with Sales, Marketing and Customer Care for all inquiries.
- Work with overseas factories and Business Unit Managers on lead-time accuracy to mitigate product supply risks.
- Evaluates and prepares reports on related activities such as out of stock and low stock inventory and collaborates with Demand Planners
- Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, and sales opportunities.
- Work with Supply Chain Management team and peers to develop a cohesive Supply Chain process to support business growth.
- Review performance with suppliers and factories against targets, benchmarks and service level agreements, report deficiencies and recommend improvement actions.
EXPERIENCE
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Supply Chain.
- Documented experience and expertise using and overseeing a software-based inventory management or ERP system.
- Proven ability to self-direct and work with a high sense of urgency.
- Documented excellent verbal and written communications that ensures collaboration across departments and disciplines.
- Proven attention to detail, organization, thoroughness, and time management.
- Proficient in Excel, V-look up, pivot tables, formulas tec.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
