About the Role
We are seeking a Process Machining Engineer to support our manufacturing operations in a high-performance automotive environment. This role is responsible for owning CNC machining processes, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are achieved through strong floor execution and process discipline. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and results-driven, with strong CNC programming experience and the ability to lead improvements directly on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
· Own assigned machining processes and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production targets
· Provide hands-on CNC programming support (G-code and/or CAM) and optimize cycle time, tooling, and performance
· Lead daily shop floor support, troubleshooting machining issues and driving immediate corrective actions
· Define and optimize cutting tools, inserts, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters
· Drive improvements in OEE, scrap reduction, setup reduction, and process efficiency
· Support new product launches (APQP, PPAP readiness) and process validation
· Develop and maintain standard work, process documentation, and work instructions
· Ensure process discipline through audits, training, and sustainment
· Perform root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why) and drive permanent corrective actions
· Maintain and update PFMEA, Control Plans, and IATF documentation
· Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
· Support tooling and fixture design, validation, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
· 2–5 years of experience in machining/manufacturing engineering
· Hands-on CNC programming experience (G-code and/or CAM systems) – REQUIRED
· Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling selection, and parameter optimization
· Experience in automotive manufacturing environments
· Working knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and IATF 16949 requirements
· Experience with process capability analysis (Cp, Cpk) and statistical methods
· Ability to interpret GD&T and engineering drawings
· English proficiency (intermediate to advanced)
