We are looking for an experienced Manual Test Lead with strong backend and database testing expertise to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading QA activities across the full software testing lifecycle, with a strong focus on SQL validation, backend testing, and quality assurance best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate QA activities across all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Perform requirement analysis, test planning, test design, execution, defect tracking, and closure
- Develop, review, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Execute backend testing scenarios including:
- Database validation
- SQL query testing
- Data integrity testing
- Performance testing
- Security testing
- Validate stored procedures, triggers, and backend integrations
- Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to identify and resolve defects
- Monitor and report testing progress, quality metrics, and overall QA status to stakeholders
- Implement and enforce QA standards, methodologies, and best practices
- Lead end-to-end quality assurance efforts for complex web applications through exploratory, functional, and regression testing
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Strong experience in backend testing and database validation
- Advanced SQL knowledge and hands-on experience writing complex queries
- Experience working with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server
- Solid understanding of STLC methodologies and QA processes
- Experience testing stored procedures, triggers, and database performance
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to lead QA initiatives in a fast-paced environment
