Responsible for the management, planning, execution, and implementation of automation projects for material cost reduction, quality improvement, capacity increase, and reduction of direct and indirect personnel, as well as improving the production process. Also, participate in the development of projects for remote plants in other countries. All quality-related activities must comply with the ISO 13485 standard. Responsible for monitoring compliance and delivery of training for the personnel under their charge. Coordinate automation, cost-saving, and continuous improvement projects with remote office teams.
Leader of cost-saving projects (Raw Material, Operational Personnel, Cycle Time, Scrap, Quality, etc.).- Development of equipment for projects/products/services.
- Process modification for continuous improvement project implementation.
- Implementation of new products.
- Participation in the development of Automation and Control Projects.
- Machinery installation, layout changes, etc.
- Directly responsible for updating and controlling mechanical drawings of machinery parts and production equipment.
- Development of prototypes and improvements in machines based on mechanical aspects/parts.
- Meet goals established by management and communicate them to the work team.
- Interact with Automation-Maintenance Technicians and provide direction towards meeting department goals.
- Interact with other departments to ensure company goals are met.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned.
- Implementation of projects from start to finish of production.
- Collaboration of activities/projects with Engineering/Maintenance.
- Coordination of external suppliers, analysis of project proposals, creation of purchase orders, timely follow-up of plans with external suppliers.
- Coordination of legal contracts with external suppliers.
- Ensure project goals are met.
- Ensure projects are aligned with company goals.
- Participate in the development of suppliers for the manufacture of new equipment.
- Be an example of respect, discipline, punctuality, order, cleanliness, etc.
- International travel for project coordination and verification.
- Support and participation in continuous improvement programs such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, among others.
- Participation in continuous improvement projects according to operational needs.
- Update mechanical drawings in the Tool Crib.
- Establish work plans to achieve established goals.
- May supervise others.
Completed Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics).- World-Class Manufacturing courses.
- 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Extensive experience in 3D Design and Drawing (SolidWorks).
- Experience in PLCs, electronics, pneumatics, servo motors.
- Proven experience in automation and electrical control systems.
- Basic knowledge in vision systems, robots, laser marking, and CNCs.
