EcoBuild is a growing U.S.-based construction and home-services company supporting residential, commercial, and government projects.
We are hiring a detail-oriented Remote Construction Estimator with experience in HVAC, commercial construction, government bidding, and TPO roofing. This role requires someone who can review plans, prepare accurate takeoffs, organize bid documents, and meet strict submission deadlines without constant supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid invitations
- Prepare accurate material takeoffs, labor estimates, and project cost breakdowns
- Estimate HVAC, commercial construction, roofing, and TPO projects
- Assist with government, municipal, and public-sector bid submissions
- Identify missing information, conflicts, exclusions, and potential project risks
- Request and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Prepare bid summaries, proposals, clarifications, and supporting documentation
- Track bid deadlines, addenda, RFIs, and submission requirements
- Maintain organized estimating files, templates, pricing databases, and project records
- Coordinate with management, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams
- Follow up on submitted bids and update bid statuses
- Help improve estimating procedures, checklists, and cost databases
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a construction estimator or takeoff specialist
- HVAC estimating experience
- Experience with commercial construction projects
- Knowledge of TPO roofing systems and commercial roofing scopes
- Experience preparing or supporting government bids
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Strong understanding of labor, materials, equipment, overhead, and project costs
- Excellent attention to detail and deadline management
- Strong written and spoken English
- Reliable computer, internet connection, and professional remote workspace
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids at the same time
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government procurement portals and public bid platforms
- Familiarity with prevailing wage, certified payroll, bonds, insurance, and compliance documents
- Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, Excel, Google Workspace, or similar estimating tools
- Experience estimating roofing, insulation, remodeling, mechanical, or multi-trade projects
- Familiarity with U.S. construction terminology and building standards
- Experience working with U.S.-based contractors

Compensation and Growth
