HRIS, PAYROLL & DIGITALIZATION TRAINEE
BMW MEXICO
The HRIS, Payroll & Digitalization Trainee supports the HR Operations and Payroll teams across BMW Group Mexico, NSC, NFSC, and the LATAM region in operating, validating and continuously improving payroll, benefits administration, and HR digital solutions. In this role, you will assist in executing end-to-end payroll tasks, coordinating employee benefits and supporting the testing and rollout of key HR digital initiatives. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, IT and external service vendors, you will help to ensure data integrity, strict adherence to internal policies, and compliance with segregation of duties controls. Ultimately, you will play a key role in optimizing operational workflows, enhancing digital HR systems, and driving process efficiency across the region.
WHAT AWAITS YOU?
Operate and validate recurring payroll processing, data entries, and reconciliation tasks in alignment with internal policies, segregation of duties, and local compliance guidelines.
Coordinate and execute key employee benefits programs.
Support HR digital transformation projects by participating in system testing, configuration support, data migrations, and reporting project progress or technical bugs to project leads.
Maintain accurate documentation for all HR operational controls, process updates, and standard operating procedures to ensure audit readiness.
Generate month-end and ad-hoc payroll, benefits, and HRIS metrics reports while ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
Identify opportunities for continuous process optimization, proposing pragmatic adjustments to automate routine tasks and enhance system performance.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING ALONG?
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Up to 2 years of experience in payroll support, HR operations, HRIS maintenance, or finance operations (relevant internships or academic project experience are highly valued).
Strong digital and analytical background: familiarity with HRIS/payroll platforms and advanced knowledge of MS Excel. Solid functional understanding of core payroll processes, benefits administration, segregation of duties, and internal controls.
Proficient in English and Spanish (fluent written and spoken communication skills).
High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a process-oriented mindset.
Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills and an absolute commitment to data privacy and confidentiality.
