JOB DUTIES
Teach online courses to children aged 5 to 18 and to adults.
Create a lesson plan for each class according to the course program provided.
Follow a communicative goal model of teaching – training will be provided.
Create communicative activities (speaking and writing tasks) to gauge the progress of students in each lesson taught.
Use a variety of materials in the planning of each class including teacher’s own materials.
Adapt activities to suit the goal of each lesson, create online games
Assign out-of-class activities, review progress and exams, grade oral and written work and give feedback to students and academic coordinator.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE:
- C1 level of English or higher
- Teaching certificate
- At least 5 years of online teaching experience
- Experience teaching children online
STRONG ADVANTAGE:
- A BA degree in teaching English language.
- Knowledge of communicative goal-oriented lesson planning
- Experience in using online game creation websites (Bamboozle, Genially, Kahoot or others)
Ability to build strong rapport with students and keep them engaged in an online environment.
Willingness to receive coaching, and continuously improve teaching practice.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 9 months
Pay: $180.00 - $200.00 per hour
