Financial Planning Analyst FP&A
We are seeking a talented individual to join our financial planning team at Marsh. This role will be based in Ciudad de México. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will perform financial analysis, reporting, and provide recommendations, transforming our FP&A approach to expand solutions in the USA and other countries. We will count on you to:
- Work independently under general direction, escalating issues and concerns to managers as appropriate.
- Review and analyze basic financial planning information and reports.
- Support the month-end close process by reviewing recurring/standard and ad hoc reports, developing an understanding of our P&L structure, and analyzing variances to forecast, budget, and prior year.
- Extract data from MMC’s data warehouse to support key strategic initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations using various formats, including charts, graphs, and econometric models.
- Research, identify, and explain expense and operational variances to highlight areas of risk and opportunities for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Actuarial Sciences.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in FP&A processes and multicultural relationships with executive roles.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Oracle and Essbase preferred.
- Power BI skills (desirable).
- Strong communication and customer service skills in both English and Spanish. Ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Adaptability to change and attention to detail.
- Capability to apply judgment to plan and execute recommendations and reports.
- Ability to thrive in collaborative environments, actively contribute to team success, and consistently go above and beyond to support colleagues.
