Our client is a growing manufacturing company in the flexible packaging industry, serving the food packaging sector. The operation includes blown film extrusion, flexographic printing, converting processes, quality control, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Summary
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support production efficiency, process improvement, quality performance, technical documentation, equipment reliability, and cross-functional manufacturing projects.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, solving problems, improving processes, working closely with operations, and supporting a growing manufacturing business.
The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Purchasing, and Management teams to improve plant performance, reduce waste, standardize processes, and support day-to-day manufacturing needs.
Key Responsibilities
· Support manufacturing operations across extrusion, printing, converting, and related production processes.
· Analyze production performance, identify process issues, and recommend improvements.
· Work closely with Production and Maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support troubleshooting.
· Develop, update, and maintain process documentation, work instructions, technical procedures, and production standards.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, quality, safety, and productivity.
· Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions related to production or quality issues.
· Support food safety, quality, and compliance requirements within the manufacturing environment.
· Participate in technical purchasing, inventory control, and equipment-related projects when needed.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute improvement projects and operational initiatives.
· Provide technical support to supervisors, operators, and production teams.
· Help standardize processes and promote a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
· Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in flexible packaging, plastics, extrusion, converting, printing, food packaging, or related industries.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production efficiency, quality systems, and continuous improvement.
· Ability to work on-site in Tijuana, Baja California.
· Willingness to relocate to Tijuana if currently living in another city.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work closely with production teams in a hands-on plant environment.
· English proficiency is highly desirable.
· Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, root cause analysis, process documentation, KPIs, or equipment improvement projects is a plus.

Relocation Support
For candidates currently living outside of Tijuana, the company may consider temporary relocation support, subject to approval.
This support may include temporary hotel accommodation during the initial housing search period and/or initial rent or security deposit support, depending on the candidate’s situation and the relocation agreement.
