Responsible for planning and implementing the supply chain concept, including achieving the targeted economic outcomes (transportation, packaging, warehousing, in-plant and inter-plant logistics, and customer delivery) for direct serial production/parts, supporting the ZF plant – OEM serial production and new RFQ acquisitions.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of logistics, material, and information flow concepts for chassis systems assembly operations, aligned with lean manufacturing principles and strategic business objectives.
- Lead the analysis, calculation, and optimization of costs related to logistics concepts, projects, and processes within Supply Chain Management, ensuring competitive and sustainable solutions throughout the product life cycle.
- Lead and validate the design and development of plant layouts using simulation tools, ensuring operational efficiency, ergonomics, flexibility, and scalability for serial production and new program launches.
- Define, specify, and coordinate the planning and procurement of in-plant logistics equipment, acting as the technical reference for purchasing, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Define, implement, and monitor logistics KPI standards to ensure performance transparency, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
- Lead regional logistics supplier development activities for all chassis system locations, including the planning and execution of logistics audits, governance of action plans, management of escalations, and implementation of countermeasures.
- Drive logistics development through the definition and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across plants and the supply chain, including the deployment and application of operational excellence.
- Participate in and lead key initiatives in sourcing (RFQ) and implementation projects, acting as the logistics lead for new programs, industrial transfers, and serial production.
- Lead the analysis, development, and standardization of returnable and expendable packaging solutions, optimizing cost efficiency, sustainability, and robustness of the supply concept.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).ExperienceTechnical Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse operations within an industrial environment.
Proven experience supervising unionized workforce.
Strong knowledge of receiving, production line material supply, and shipping processes.
Warehouse and internal logistics processes.
Inventory control systems.
ERP/WMS systems (preferred).
Basic industrial safety standards.
