Position Purpose
The Sales representative is responsible for developing new business and expanding existing accounts within the Monterrey region. The position focuses on providing international freight forwarding solutions including ocean freight (FCL/LCL), air freight, and US–Mexico cross-border services. The Sales representative must be able to identify client needs, deliver cost-efficient logistics solutions, and ensure that commercial objectives and profitability targets are met.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and grow customer accounts in the Monterrey industrial market, focusing on manufacturing, automotive, electronics, and international trade sectors.
- Sell and promote freight forwarding services, including ocean export/import (FCL/LCL), air transportation, trucking, intermodal, drayage, and cross-border US–Mexico logistics.
- Identify potential customers, generate leads, conduct on-site and remote meetings, understand shipping requirements, and prepare commercial proposals.
- Negotiate pricing, services, credit terms, and contract conditions in line with company policies, protecting gross profit and long-term relationship value.
- Manage the complete customer lifecycle, including account onboarding, quotation coordination, follow-up, after-sales service, and retention planning.
- Coordinate internally with operations, customer service, and finance to ensure service execution, cargo visibility, and service performance standards.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and global rate fluctuations, and recommend strategies for positioning and service differentiation.
- Prepare periodic sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance reviews, ensuring accurate information and transparent communication.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics sales (mandatory).
- Demonstrated knowledge of at least two of the following:
- Ocean freight (FCL/LCL)
- Air freight import/export
- Cross-border US–Mexico transportation
- Customs brokerage and documentation
- Hands-on experience with client acquisition and account management, not only lead generation.
- Ability to understand shipping cost structures, carrier pricing, local charges, Incoterms, and margin protection.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Spanish fluency and English communication proficiency required; Chinese language skills are an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer locations.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time position based in Monterrey. The role requires frequent customer visits in the region and occasional travel depending on customer or project requirements. Hybrid arrangements may be considered depending on performance and client engagement.
Compensation
Competitive base salary of MXN $25,000 per month, plus a performance based commission.
The Sales Representative will be eligible to receive a 15% commission on the gross profit (GP) generated from qualified shipments originated and managed by the employee, subject to the Company's commission policy and applicable approval procedures.
Commission payments are calculated based on actual gross profit collected by the Company and are payable after customer payment has been received. The Company reserves the right to adjust, withhold, or deny commission payments in the event of shipment loss, bad debt, credit issues, pricing errors, customer disputes, or any transactions that do not meet Company profitability or compliance requirements.
Additional incentives or bonus programs may be introduced based on annual business objectives and strategic growth initiatives.
