We are looking for a Production Supervisor, and part of his/her functions are the following:
Organize the shift team (3-shift system) to complete production tasks on time, with the required quality and quantity according to the weekly/daily production plan issued by the Production Manager, ensuring the plan achievement rate is at least 95%.
Assign daily tasks during the pre-shift meeting, specifying output targets, quality priorities, and safety precautions for each machine.
Monitor production progress, inspect the output of each process hourly, and promptly adjust personnel or production sequencing when deviations are found.
Manage shift handover to ensure complete transfer of equipment status, production progress, quality abnormalities, and pending matters.
Supervise operators to strictly follow SOPs, process parameter cards, product technical requirements, and safety regulations, and prohibit unsafe operations.
Implement 5S management standards to keep responsible areas (machines, aisles, tool cabinets, material areas) clean and orderly.
Manage materials on the production floor to reduce waste and obsolescence.
Review and submit production reports (output, scrap, man-hours, downtime records) to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Monitor first-pass yield for each process; immediately organize analysis and take corrective actions when quality fluctuations are detected.
Address quality abnormalities occurring during the shift, arranging rework or quarantine as needed.
Cooperate with the Quality Department in first-piece inspections, routine patrol inspections, and finished product inspections to ensure non-conforming products do not flow to downstream processes.
Participate in quality incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and follow up to verify effectiveness.
Supervise operators in completing daily equipment checks and recording the results.
Immediately notify maintenance personnel upon detecting equipment faults or abnormalities, and assist in fault diagnosis and basic troubleshooting.
Manage tools, molds, and fixtures used by the shift team to ensure they are complete, in good condition, and stored in designated locations.
Cooperate with the Equipment Department in executing weekly/monthly preventive maintenance plans to reduce unplanned downtime.
Strictly enforce the company’s EHS regulations and supervise employees to wear PPE correctly.
Conduct daily safety inspections of the production floor, promptly rectifying or reporting hazards.
Manage environmental aspects of the shift team, ensuring proper sorting and handover of hazardous waste (waste ink, waste alcohol, waste rags).
Control material consumption (optical fiber, ink, binding yarn, water-blocking tape, etc.) to reduce scrap rate and auxiliary material loss.
Drive reduction of changeover time (mold change, color change, yarn change) to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Analyze the top three causes of scrap within the shift and propose and implement at least one improvement suggestion per week.
Participate in special improvement activities such as capacity ramp-up and cost reduction, implementing specific measures.
Be responsible for shift scheduling, attendance tracking, and preliminary performance evaluation of operators in the shift, and promptly coordinate A/B role backup in case of absences.
Provide job skills training to new employees (including safety, operation, quality) to ensure they can work independently.
Communicate regularly with employees to understand their concerns, reduce turnover, and enhance team cohesion.
Organize shift skill competitions and improvement proposal activities to motivate employees to participate in continuous improvement.
Report daily output, abnormalities, and next-day preparation to the Production Manager.
Maintain close collaboration with Process, Equipment, and Quality departments to jointly resolve cross-process issues.
Complete and submit various production reports, shift handover records, and abnormality report forms as required.
Perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors.
