Looking for an experienced Engineer to design, implement, and maintain payment processing systems across the LATAM region. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of card payment protocols, transaction lifecycle management, and bilingual communication.
Must have:
Banking, Cards & Payments domain
ISO 8583 (Core protocol for building and parsing financial transaction messages between payment systems. Used daily in developing, debugging, and testing card authorization and switching flows.
C++, Oracle DB, Linux
Payments clearing & settlement (Applied when managing end-to-end fund movement — from transaction capture through interbank clearing to final settlement. Critical for ensuring reconciliation accuracy and resolving discrepancies.)
Message switching & transaction flow (Essential for designing and troubleshooting the routing logic that directs authorization requests between acquirers, issuers, and card networks. Applied in system architecture, incident resolution, and performance tuning.)
Spanish (Advance), English (Intermediate)
Nice to have:
Card scheme certification (Advantageous when interfacing directly with Visa, Mastercard, or other scheme networks during certification and compliance testing. Reduces onboarding time and increases credibility in scheme-level discussions)
Store & forward (Beneficial for handling offline transaction queuing scenarios — storing transactions locally when the network is unavailable and forwarding them once connectivity is restored. Relevant in intermittent-connectivity LATAM deployment environments.)
