POSITION OBJECTIVE
As Industrial Engineer you are responsible for establishing the best line process configuration and requirements to assure the most safety, quality and efficient process according to the existing standards. This scope considers not only the current processes but also the process changes and new product/process implementations. Continuous improvement is also another key focus of your daily journey as well as the problem solving related activities.
In this position you are also responsible for providing support to the day to day operation as well to other areas in those activities that require your knowledge and expertise to complete activities with impact in our KPIs.
ROLE & RESPONSABILITIES:
Support the daily operation topics.
Definition of the assembly process based on H&S, Quality, and Costs KPIs.
Line balancing according to the Labor Efficiency KPI and by using site BRP tools and softwares.
Planning and Execution of the required activities for speed changes to sustain or improve KPIs
Maximize line balancing VA/NVA ratio while taking into consideration our workers, using lean manufacturing tools.
Production capacity management based on demand and process constraints.
Planning and executing the activities related to model year and new platforms introduction according to the NPD process and specific deliverables at each gate.
Keep updated the production floor shop layout, master data, visual aids, work instructions & risk assessment analysis for every model year and new projects, or when the operation requires it.
Planning and executing projects to positively impact on H&S, efficiency, quality or costs.
Align the Opex execution based on the determined monthly strategy and forecast.
Follow up and deploy engineering changes.
Decision taken based on PFMEA to manage the processes risks.
Lead and participate in problem solving processes according to the business requirements.
Adoption of BRMS tools to support our manufacturing system and continuous improvement.
Following up and keeping alive the ISO processes related to the area.
Follow BRP policies, conduct yourself according to our values and behaviors.
Enforce Quality BRP policy.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Line-balancing and Line-efficiency
Lean Manufacturing (std work, KAIZEN, pkyks)
Core tools (APQP, PFMEA)
Problem-solving techniques
Ergonomics
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related fields.
2+ years of experience in a previous related position (Assembly line).
Intermediate-Advanced English.
