Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Closing Assistant to join our growing personal injury law firm. This position plays a key role in the closing process of personal injury cases by assisting with negotiating medical bills and liens, maintaining accurate case files, communicating with clients and providers, and supporting the Accounting Department to ensure timely and accurate case disbursements. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Duties
- Assist with negotiating and resolving medical bills and liens.
- Communicate professionally with medical providers, insurance companies, opposing counsel, and clients regarding case balances and settlement matters.
- Prepare and organize closing documents and maintain accurate electronic case files.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks related to the case closing process.
- Work closely with the Accounting Department to help facilitate accurate and timely disbursements.
- Handle phone calls and correspondence professionally and direct inquiries as appropriate.
- Ensure all case documentation is complete and properly maintained.
- Collaborate with attorneys and team members to promote efficient workflow and successful case resolution.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a personal injury law firm or legal administrative role is preferred.
- Experience with personal injury case closings, medical bill and lien negotiation, or settlement processing is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with FileVine software is preferred.

Pay: $15,000.00 - $19,000.00 per month
