Satellite Teams is looking for a Trademark & Patent Applications Manager to oversee the end-to-end process of trademark and patent filings, including research, applications, renewals, and coordination with legal counsel. This role ensures that our brand and intellectual property assets are protected across markets and jurisdictions.
The ideal candidate will possess legal expertise, preferably as an attorney in Mexico or with equivalent experience, and the ability to design and implement a repeatable internal protocol for managing filings and renewals. This is a hands-on role requiring initiative, systems thinking, and the ability to execute independently while collaborating with the executive team.
Responsibilities
Trademark & Patent Management
- Handle the full lifecycle of trademark and patent filings: research, applications, renewals, and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel to ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
Process Development
- Design and implement a repeatable internal process for managing filings and renewals.
- Create tools, checklists, timelines, and ownership protocols for efficient execution.
Risk Mitigation & Compliance
- Monitor deadlines and maintain accurate records to prevent lapses in protection.
- Stay informed on relevant IP laws and regulations in applicable markets.
Qualifications
- Licensed attorney in Mexico (preferred) or equivalent legal experience in IP law.
- Proven experience managing trademark and patent filings end-to-end.
- Strong organizational and systems-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with executive leadership.
- Familiarity with IP laws across multiple jurisdictions is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17,000.00 - $30,000.00 per month
