Resumen
The Project Engineer, is a closely managed, supporting role, that will direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of limited complexity engineering projects in the areas of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties.
Tareas y responsabilidades
- Analyzes customer and internal project requirements and performs standard technical calculations using design, stress, and fatigue life tools.
- Performs engineering design evaluations for durability analysis and feasibility and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
- Provides technical support for the engineering launch process and contributes to the completion of a project including delivery of development samples.
- Gathers data for and generates technical design records including DFMEAs, drawings, BOMs, and DVP&Rs to document outputs of the design process.
- Acts as primary point of contact between customers and Mubea to ensure all necessary project and technical approvals.
- Designs, implements, and communicates an operational plan for completing the project using the automotive APQP process and standard tools such as meeting minutes and open issues lists.
- Takes action to escalate and resolve operation problems and minimize delays.
- Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
- Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project.
Estudios / Formación
- Bachelor in engineering, preferably mechanical with focus on automotive engineering. (ABET certification is a plus).
- 1-4 years of recent related experience using industry standard tools.
- General mechanical experience with automotive or similar products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- English advanced is a must.
- Experience working with Stellantis is a bonus.
