International industrial group headquartered in Germany is seeking a senior finance leader to support its operations in Mexico. This opportunity is open to high-level profiles within Finance and Controlling, including experienced CFOs, Finance Directors, and Heads of Controlling with a strong track record in financial leadership and operational performance.
The company specializes in advanced engineering solutions for printing and surface processing technologies, offering innovative systems in areas such as engraving, laser technology, and automation. With a strong global presence, it serves industries including packaging, automotive, and electronics, and is recognized for its high-quality standards, engineering expertise, and focus on efficiency.
Role Objective:
- Ensure sustainable profitability (> 4% EBT p.a.) through consistent cost management and stringent financial leadership.
- Develop and implement a management-relevant contribution margin (CM) calculation by market and product groups.
- Execute required clean-up and restructuring measures to optimize cost structures and increase efficiency.
- Secure a strong cash flow position considering currency risks through active TWC management.
- Define and implement lean administrative processes with maximum automation and utilization of current and future AI technologies.
- Hold strategic and operational responsibility for HR and IT to ensure a high-performing, compliant, and future-ready back-office organization.
Requirements:
- Degree in business administration, finance, or comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience as CFO, CRO, or in a comparable leadership role, ideally in an international industrial company.
- Proven track record in cost management, restructuring, and profitability improvement.
- Deep knowledge of financial planning, controlling, and cashflow management.
- Experience with currency risk management and international payment terms.
- Strong affinity for process automation and digital technologies (incl. AI).
- Leadership experience in HR and basic knowledge of labor law preferred.
- Experience in IT management, IT processes, or cooperation with group IT advantageous.
- Business-fluent English and Spanish. German a plus.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Controlling
- Preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, reporting, and financial plans.
- Implementation of management-relevant contribution margin accounting by market and product groups.
- Analysis of cost structures and definition/implementation of efficiency measures.
- Introduction and monitoring of KPIs to enhance profitability.
2. Cashflow & Liquidity Management
- Ensure high liquidity while considering currency risks.
- Active accounts receivable management and optimization of payment terms.
- Establish processes for hedging against currency fluctuations (hedging strategies, contract design, etc.).
3. Restructuring, Process Optimization & Automation
- Identify, define, and implement cost reduction and efficiency initiatives across all administrative processes (administration, sales back office, etc.).
- Maximize the use of automation and AI support in financial and administrative processes.
- Streamline structures and processes to improve transparency and efficiency.
4. Leadership & Collaboration
- Overall responsibility for the subsidiary’s HR function (recruiting, development, administration).
- Ensure compliance with local tax and labor laws as well as group guidelines.
5. IT & Governance
- Full responsibility for local IT infrastructure and systems, including the implementation of group IT policies, especially regarding cybersecurity.
- Define and manage a local digitalization strategy in close cooperation with HQ IT.
6. Leadership & Cross-Functional Cooperation
- Lead all financial and administrative units, including active involvement in implementation.
- Close collaboration with general management, sales, service, and group management to ensure financial and organizational transparency.
