Resumen
To analyze, evaluate, and manage product warranty claims by identifying root causes of failures , implementing corrective and preventive actions, and collaborating with production, engineering, and suppliers to improve product quality and reliability.
Tareas y responsabilidades
• Receive, record, and follow up on warranty claims from customers. • Perform failure analysis on returned parts (physical, dimensional, and functional analysis) with the BU´s • Determine root causes of defects and prepare technical failure analysis reports. • Coordinate with Engineering and Production to implement corrective actions. • Review customer warranty databases, such as GSAR, Partlink, SWARP+, EWT, etc., to analyze and evaluate failures that apply to each BU • Prepare statistical reports on failure rates, warranty costs, and problem trends • Responsible to analyze failures and calculate / review technical factors. • Continuous communication with Finance to validate and track customer warranty debits • Provide technical support to customers regarding product quality and performance. • Evaluate and validate field information to support continuous improvement processes. • Coordinate with external suppliers for defective component evaluations , corrective action and debits • Participate in internal and external audits related to quality and warranty management. • CQI-14 yearly assessments and follow up and track the action plan
Estudios / Formación
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemistry, Industrial, Automotive Engineering, or related field. • Experience: 3 to 5 years in warranty analysis, quality, or product engineering in the automotive or auto parts industry. • Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications (GD&T) • Knowledge of materials and automotive manufacturing processes. • Failure analysis methodologies (8D, A3, Six Sigma) • IATF 16949 • NTF failure tree analysis • CQI-9, CQI-12 , CQI-11 , CQI-15 • Core tools (PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA). • SAP
