Job Overview
We are looking for a bilingual Healthcare Customer Service Representative to support patients throughout their care journey by providing excellent service and coordinating appointments, referrals, and follow-up care.
In this role, you will communicate directly with patients, providers, and healthcare professionals primarily through phone interactions, helping ensure a smooth and efficient healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls from patients, providers, and healthcare professionals in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule appointments with internal providers and external specialists
- Follow up with patients regarding appointments, procedures, and treatment plans
- Proactively contact patients to schedule necessary appointments and ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Enter patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans into internal systems
- Coordinate specialist referrals and facilitate communication between healthcare providers
- Assist patients with questions related to appointments, procedures, and care coordination
- Ensure all patient information is handled confidentially and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support ongoing patient care coordination to ensure a positive patient experience
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal communication required)
- Previous experience in customer service, healthcare support, medical scheduling, call center, or administrative roles preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable handling a high volume of phone interactions
- Experience with EHR systems or healthcare administration is a plus
